SCENE REENACTMENT:
THE BANDIT VISIT

This video project is a precise, shot-for-shot remake of the opening scene from the film The Band's Visit, aimed at subverting the original meaning.

While preserving the original cinematography and timing, we shifted the narrative focus to the immigrant experience. The band members were replaced by newcomers to the country, using the scene’s awkward silence and isolation to satirize the gap between the expectation of the "Promised Land" and the culture shock of modern Israeli reality.
